Akimel O’odham Platter

The basket illusion design on this platter is made up of basket design elements used by Native Americans of the Pima or Akimel O’odham tribe in southwestern USA. It is 11-1/2″ in diameter. The coves are cut and burned in concentric circles from the edge of the platter to the center. The radial lines are burned with a wood burning pen and the black color was applied with India ink pens. This platter can be seen at Tupper Arts in Tupper Lake, NY $900.
