I had never even heard of Catalpa until my friend Roy dropped a few logs off at my shop in Vermont. It was very stringy to turn green but after being rough turned and sitting in my attic over the winter to dry it turned out to have a very nice grain pattern. This one is 9″ in diameter and 3-1/2″ high. It was finished with multiple coats of wipe-on polyurethane. $65.
