The inspiration for the basket illusion design on this platter came from a throw pillow with a southwestern design on the couch at my place in Colorado. It is solid maple and is 11-1/2″ in diameter. Like the rest of my platters the coves are cut and burned in concentric circles from the edge of the platter to the center. The radial lines are burned with a wood burning pen and the colors are applied with India ink pens. $900.
