Segmented Vase with Thunderbird and Walnut Rings

This vase is made up of maple and walnut pieces that I glued up and turned on my lathe. The four thunderbirds that are evenly spaced around the perimeter were glued up from very small pieces that I formed into one of the rings. The vase stands 10″ high and is 7-1/2″ in diameter at its widest point. It is not made to hold water but would be ideal to hold a dried flower arrangement or would look just fine by itself. This vase can be seen at Heartwood Studios in Saranac Lake, NY.
