This bowl was hand-turned in Vermont from a log that sat in my friend Gary’s yard for a few years while he decided what to do with it. By the time I found it and he had decided he couldn’t do anything with it, it was almost firewood because it had cracked and split so bad. But I was able to gently turn it so I could get a bowl out of it without it blowing apart on my lathe. It is about 12″ in diameter, 4-1/2″ deep and finished with multiple coats of wipe-on polyurethane. Sold.
